Grade Calculator
How to use the grade calculator
Add each test, assignment or exam. For finished work, enter your score as a percentage and how much it counts towards your final grade. Leave the score empty for work that is still to come. The calculator shows your average so far, and if you enter a target it tells you what you need on the remaining work.
How a weighted grade is calculated
Multiply each score by its weight, then add the results. For example, 70 percent on a test worth 20 percent of the grade adds 14 points, and 65 percent on an assignment worth 30 percent adds 19.5 points. Together that is 33.5 points from 50 percent of the grade, an average of 67 percent so far.
Frequently asked questions
What if my weights do not add up to 100?
The calculator only counts the weights you have scores for and treats the rest of the 100 percent as remaining work. Check your course outline so the weights match.
Is this the same as my official grade?
No. It is an estimate to help you plan. Rounding rules, dropped scores and bonus marks vary between schools and universities, so confirm with your teacher or lecturer.
Is my data saved?
No. Everything is calculated in your browser and nothing is sent to our servers.
